When we make commitments, it is a pact or agreement between 2 or more people or to ourselves. When we make the pact with ourselves, we tend to judge ourselves on a different level than we would with others. To be true to self can be difficult at times, depending on one’s integrity, upbringing, environment, or culture.
So when it comes to committing to a program of weight loss or dietary lifestyle changes, we can easily fall to the “saboteurs” and beat ourselves incessantly or repressed garbage that food quells temporarily. So the question is when do we recommit or de-commit? More to be revealed.
